Beautiful Spring Wedding Color Palettes, Moods & Trends

As spring welcomes the start of a new year, why not welcome the start of a new chapter in your life?Pastel color palettes, beautiful-fresh floral arrangements, and the feeling of new beginnings are only a few reasons why we love a beautiful spring wedding at our North Georgia venue.

Before you say yes to the dress, pick the perfect wedding venue and narrow the down that exhausting guest list, start with one of the most important details of your special day: the color scheme. What colors are perfect for your spring wedding? Are you looking for colors that are warm and romantic? Maybe you want your special day to have a theme that is rustic and charming? Or maybe vibrant and bold is a more suitable color choice.

If you have chosen to celebrate your special day during the March, April or May months, here a few color combinations that are perfect for a springtime wedding!

Mood: Warm & Welcoming

Create an atmosphere that is warm and inviting by using the color combination of blush and grey. Blush is a light and warm shade of pink and has an appearance that is almost floral, making it the perfect color for a spring wedding. You could incorporate blush into bright floral arrangements and candles on the tables at your reception!

Since blush is quite eye-catching, we recommend pairing it with a softer color like grey. Grey is a casual and relaxed color that would look sharp as a suit color for groomsmen! A cute idea trending for groomsmen is fun-colored socks. Have your groomsmen wear fun blush-patterned socks  or other blush-colored accessories to tie the wedding’s colors together in their outfit. Invite your guests to feel the warmth of your special day in a space that is casual but unforgettable.

Mood: Like Strolling Through a Secret Garden

One of the best parts of spring is welcoming back the color green, and that is why we think it is one of the best color options for a spring wedding. Rather than filling your florals with brightly-colored flowers, think about using more greenery and dashing color sparingly. Succulent wedding bouquets are trending this wedding season and are a subtle way of adding color.

To pair with green, we are loving the color lilac! Bridesmaids will look stunning in these David’s Bridal lilac bridesmaid dresses. Or if you’re looking to bring a bolder approach to the florals of your wedding, use lilac flowers to decorate your venue with a feeling that is as fresh and bright as the spring season itself. Welcome fresh new beginnings with this color combination on your wedding day!

Mood: Nothing Short of Classy

Maybe you want your wedding to feel a little bit more traditional and sophisticated. If you’ve always dreamed of a wedding that is the epitome of elegance, we are in love with the classic look of the slate and moss color combination! The Black Tux, who designs some of our favorite tuxedos and suits you can rent, has options for tuxedos in colors like slate and midnight blue, which will make your groom look as classic as if he were in black.

This look is sure to bring out the dapper in any groomsmen and would definitely add a touch of sophistication to your wedding party. Pairing with this dreamy color, we suggest something more natural and earth-toned like the organic color moss. Moss’s earthy tones are rustic and charming, but pair well with the elegant and classic slate.

Mood: Bold & Beautiful

Finally, if you’re looking for a color that is can make any wedding detail bold, you can’t go wrong with ultraviolet. Named Pantone’s 2018 Color of the Year, ultraviolet is certainly stunning and imaginative. Although we wouldn’t recommend dressing groomsmen in a suit that is ultraviolet, we do suggest using it in accessories like bow ties and pocket squares.

For bridesmaids, ultraviolet could be used in more prominent details, like bouquets or dresses. The trick with this color is either go all out with it, or use it in small details. We recommend pairing this strong color with colors like grey, bronze or beige to keep to a color palette that is not too overwhelming.

No matter what spring colors you choose for your wedding, make sure that they tell the story of your romance and bring that feeling of joy as you start the next chapter of your life! What colors would you use in your wedding and how would you use them?
