Sweetest Navy & Mauve Fall Wedding at The Tate House

Jamie and Christine’s October wedding was one for the books! What’s better than celebrating your with all your friends and family gathered together on your wedding day? Celebrating for the whole week leading up, of course. That’s what this couple did! Jamie and Christine’s families came from all over the world to meet each other for the first time and to celebrate the couple. Our bride, Christine, shares with some of the most romantic, dreamy fall wedding details with us.

“Since Jamie is from England and my family lives in different parts of the United States and Puerto Rico, we knew our families would be traveling a long way for the wedding so we wanted to make the trip worth their while, not just a wedding day but a week long wedding extravaganza with food, drinks, dancing and activities leading up to our special day and beyond. This was also the first time our families were meeting so this set up served as a perfect ice breaker with events leading up to the wedding day. We wanted everybody to have a great time and to feel like family by our wedding day. Everything we envisioned went exactly as we’d imagined and it was an unforgettable week!”

Just like their families, Jamie and Christine were used to traveling. They met while working on as performing artists on a cruise ship (how cool is that?!), and after proposing in London, Jamie took Christine to Paris were they spent their engagement weekend in Europe.

“My new fiancé and I spent the weekend exploring Paris from the Louvre to the Palace of Versailles, from Notre Dame to the Moulin Rouge, topped off each night with views of the Eiffel tower that seemed close enough to touch from the balcony of our hotel room. It was a dream!”

Their Tate House wedding was a perfect representation of Jamie and Christine’s relationship. It was classy, elegant, and a huge party!

“We had our DJ really cater to the types of guests we would be having at our wedding and he did a fantastic job mixing Spanish and English music and keeping everyone on the dance floor until they were kicked out of the venue.”

Jamie and Christine visited us again in December for one of our Christmas Open House luncheons, and it was so fun to see them again! Christine told us that her and Jamie are planning to come visit every Christmas to remember and celebrate this special fall wedding! We LOVE that. Wishing this happy couple the best!
