The Tate House is known and loved for the rare pink marble that makes up the Georgia wedding venue’s exterior. This grand first impression, if you will, and elegant furnishings + florals provided by the Tate House Design Group make it easy to plan as not much else is needed. Just two sweet soon-to-be newlyweds ready to say “I do!” Leanna and Jared chose a more neutral palette of creamy ivories with subtle pops of pink via soft blush bridesmaids dresses, pink roses and carnations throughout the florals, a sweetheart table with the prettiest pink rose linen, pink napkins atop each place setting… and for the reception?! A donut bar – with pink sprinkled donuts!

What do you feel was the most special component of your wedding?

We truly tried to make the day about us and our story. Including little, special components that had meaning to us. Some people might not have understood what those things meant, but we did and that was what was important.

How important are the typical wedding traditions? Did you plan on doing something outside of the norm to make your wedding more of your own?

They were somewhat important to us, but we chose not to do some things – instead, adding a few little elements that had meaning to us, like the donut wall (Leanna is obsessed with donuts) and using the cake knife and server that Leanna’s parents used at their wedding 50 years ago this year!

Why did you choose your wedding venue?

The history behind the house and the fact that it’s the most beautiful setting!
