A first look is when you and your spouse see each other and spend a few intimate moments together before the ceremony to read vows, take pictures, and soak in the sentiment of the day.

One of the best reasons for having a first look is that it helps calm any wedding day jitters you might have. When it’s just you two, your nerves will dissolve and you’ll be so ready to walk down that aisle! Especially if you get nervous in front of crowds, having a first look will allow your significant other to help calm them and remind you that it’s all about you two that day!

2. Look your best

With a first look, you can come straight from hair + makeup to look your best. No need to worry about sweating through the ceremony or wind shifting your hair. And you can always go in for retouches after the first look before the ceremony.

Having a first look allots more time for photos. You can spend more time making sure you get the photos you want! Since you have more time, you also have more photo opportunities.
