Georgia Estate Great Gatsby Wedding Inspiration

Our North Georgia special events venue was just a piece of property with immense possibilities in 1834 when Samuel Tate purchased the land. The construction of what is now a North Georgia wedding venue began in 1920, as Tate grew inspired by the rare Etowah pink marble that came from the quarry just behind the property. By 1926, Tate and his brother and sister resided at the mansion. It was this era that F. Schott Fitzgerald’s beloved novel, The Great Gatsby, and the subsequent film editions made us fall in love with Gatsby themed weddings. From “swinging twenties” tunes to flapper fashion and art deco décor – here’s our favorite Great Gatsby wedding inspiration for our pink Atlanta mansion wedding venue.

This Style Me Pretty inspiration shoot took shape from Erin Connelly Events’ design expertise when she saw the location of the shoot – an estate built in 1929 that reminded her of a bygone era. The glassware and barware by The Festive Frog made for a beautiful pink champagne tower that is (almost) too pretty to drink.

100 Layer Cake shared this wedding cake with an art deco flair in anticipation over the latest Great Gatsby movie premier.
